Optional Parent Input for 2026-2027 Class Placement

We are fortunate to have an amazing group of teachers at Maple Hills Elementary School. The process used to assign students for the following school year is a comprehensive one. As a staff, we take the responsibility of class placement very seriously. Beginning soon, and continuing through the summer, many factors are considered in the process of placing every child. The teachers and I work very hard to determine the best placement for your student to ensure that every child will have a caring and well-prepared teacher committed to student learning and student success. Sometimes there may be additional information that you would like to share with Ms Tapper. This may be information such as a request to separate twins or a situation that you think may affect your student that the teacher is not aware of. Not all requests can be honored and requests for specific teachers are not accepted. However, if you would like to share information with Ms Tapper for the 2026-2027 class placement, please read the attached document and send Ms Tapper an email before May 12 at 4pm.
