5th Grade Camp Adventures

Students smile under "YMCA Camp Seymour" sign

Our 5th Graders ventured to Gig Harbor on Monday, October 28, for an Extended Day Field Trip to Camp Seymour. While there, students learned archery, dissected squids, handled reptiles, and played cooperative games in the forest. Plus, they dined family-style and had a celebratory campfire to end the day!

Phoenix, a student in Mrs Sanford's class, said, "The way they taught us how to do activities was great. I knew exactly what to do right away." Another student, Jasmine, added, "The staff were really nice, and the activities were fun. They made sure that we were safe. My favorite class was Reptiles because I learned more about animals that I had never seen before."

A special thanks to the staff at Camp Seymour and our parent volunteers for making this year's 5th grade camp so special!
