To wrap up their social studies unit, Mrs. Friend's second-grade class took action to answer the question, "How can I change the world?" Their answer: hosting a Unity and Kindness Parade! During recess on October 16, they invited Kindergarten and first-grade students to join them in spreading positivity across the playground. Teachers and staff, including the school counselor Ms. Bryant, also participated, adding to the fun.

When asked about the event, second-grader Teddy shared, “I think it was good.” He added that other students enjoyed it too, saying, “Yeah, because they joined and got to see the signs. We got to help the community!”

It was a beautiful display of collaboration, kindness, and unity—one that made everyone feel a little more connected!
