Students Salute Service with Voices and Gratitude for Veterans Day Assembly

Our school honored Veterans Day with a heartfelt assembly recognizing the bravery and sacrifice of those who have served our country. The program began with the presentation of flags led by Cub Scout Pack 468, followed by fifth-grade leaders sharing information about Veterans Day and each branch of the U.S. military. Haoyi M, a second-grader, said he "liked the fact that there was an actual veteran there, who was wearing his uniform."

Third graders from Mrs. Brunell’s class shared their reflections on what Veterans Day means to them, offering thoughtful words of gratitude. Eli D said his favorite part was when the 4th & 5th Grade Eagles Choir performed a moving song dedicated to our heroes, entitled American Tears. The assembly concluded with a touching slideshow honoring veterans from our community—a beautiful reminder of the strength and service that surround us every day. "I feel good mainly because my dad was on the slides," said Macklin J from Ms Law's class. "I really like honoring him."
